Joey (1986)
“Due to conflict with his hard drinking father, who is a working class former musician, a talented teenager runs away from home and seeks to start his own musical career.”
Yeah, that basically sums it up. There’s a smashed window and some other hijinx, and some terrible acting as well.
Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, The Ad-Libs, and the Silhouettes have performances in this movie, so it’s got that going for it.
Joey stars Neil Barry, Frank R. Lanziano, James Quinn, and Ellen Hammill and was directed by Joseph Ellison.
